VFW Post 12024 and the Auxiliary 12024 conducted a Voice of Democracy contest for the Post.  Tadio Franko took first place in the 2012 Post Voice of Democracy contest.

Andrea Masud took second place in the contest and the scholarship that went along with it.

Members of the Common Outlaw Band were on hand to receive recognition for their support of the VFW Post.  Dalton Raye, the lead guitarist and vocalist was presented an award by the Post and Auxiliary.
